Sponsoring future coders to jumpstart their careers, why?

Hej, 👋 good question! Shall we start with some low-key alarming stats? At 32%, the share of women working in tech is now lower than in 1984, when it was 35%. The percentage of women in tech leadership roles has fallen to 28% in 2023. 50% of women in tech roles leave them by the age of 35. 🥳

We created Code Excursion Scholarships because of statistics like these.

Because we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn coding. We understand that not everyone has the means for it. That’s why we are excited to announce the opportunity to sponsor a Scholarship. It provides financial assistance to individuals who are passionate about learning coding but may not have the means to afford the course.

Through this scholarship, we offer a fully-funded place in our 12 week website building coding course. It covers the entire cost of the course, allowing the recipient to learn web development without any financial burden.

How do we get involved?

We are thrilled that you are interested in lowering the hurdles of accessibility to coding education for women and underrepresented communities in tech. By sponsoring a full or part scholarship for one of our many applicants you will be a direct contributor to closing the gender gap in tech and will create more qualified female Talent. There is no deadline to become a scholarship sponsor. Our founders will be in touch and would be more than happy to walk you through a presentation of who we are, what we do & connect you with your scholarship recipient.

What’s in it for you?

As sponsor, we promote you on all of our social media channels, repost any job posting you may have, will gladly make warm intros for any alumni we think fit the role, and invite you for a talk during our kick off + demo day to present what your company does & will be broadcast to our network of 200 alumni working in tech all around the world. Our sponsors can get to know our applicants, follow them throughout their journey & offer them internships & jobs!
