General Terms and Conditions
We are glad that you are interested in the offers of Code Excursion. Enclosed you will find some legal stuff…
If you have any questions or individual wishes, don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re looking forward to getting to know you.
These terms and conditions apply to all offers from Code Excursion. They are all available on the Code Excursion website. Validity of these terms and conditions: from April 2020.
Payment of the course fee
The oral or written registration obligates you to pay the course fee, which must be paid within seven days after registration for the course (receipt of payment). Otherwise the reservation of the course place cannot be guaranteed. Failure to pay is not considered as cancellation and non-payment or non-participation in the course does not release you from the obligation to pay the course fee. We reserve the right to find a substitute participant on your own and have her pay the course fee.
We always try to offer you a great program. We reserve the right to postpone or combine courses for important organizational reasons, to reduce the course fee or to change the location of the course. If a teacher fails to attend a course led by a teacher, we can change the teacher or appoint a substitute (this does not apply to webinars). Of course, we make sure that all teachers have a high level of professional competence.
Course Locations and Implementation
In order to be able to conduct our courses under optimal conditions, we set a minimum and a maximum number of participants for each learning offer. Places on courses are allocated in the order of registration, subject to payment within the payment deadline. If the number of participants is insufficient, it is possible that the course will not be held. In this case the course fee will be waived or refunded. In the event of under-studying a course, it is possible that we will still hold the course if the participants agree to accept an increased course fee or a reduced number of dates.
We reserve the right to exclude participants from a course. In cases of fault, the entire course fee is due even in the event of exclusion. In cases where we are not at fault, a refund will be made, whereby lessons already attended will be deducted pro rata. Exclusion will always be made against justification. Possible reasons are non-payment of the course fee and other serious cases, such as defamation, harassment or intentional damage to property.
Every registration is binding. If you succeed in finding a new participant to replace you after you have cancelled your registration, we will of course waive the course fee – with a possible deduction of an administration fee of CHF 25 – or reimburse you the course fee already paid.
Lessons not attended cannot be made up and will not be refunded. For webinars, however, it is possible to make up for the lessons at home. After completion of the group course, it is also possible to continue the webinars yourself for one year after the start of the course.
Photos, Video- and Audiorecordings
By registering for the course you agree that photos, video and audio recordings of you may be taken and used on social media, on our website and other related media by Code Excursion and its sponsors. In addition, you may be published in newspapers, magazines and other print media, on television, radio and all forms of digital media (including e-mails and newsletters, internet and social media) and / or in communications for promotional and advertising purposes and / or marketing purposes for Code Excursion or one of our partners. Upon request, you will receive digital copies of any photographic or video materials featuring you and/or your project work, if available. Please let us know on the first day of the course if you do not want us to take pictures or video recordings of you.
For all courses and events organized by Code Excursion we exclude any liability for personal injury, property damage, consequential damage or pure financial loss. You are therefore fully responsible for your own adequate insurance coverage. The use of the facilities where the courses are held is at your own risk. Code Excursion cannot be held liable for theft or loss of items during the courses.
Liability for Links
Code Excursion has no influence on the design and content of third party websites. Should illegal content be found on websites that are linked or otherwise used by Code Excursion, we will remove the link to these offers as soon as possible after becoming aware of the illegality.
Data protection We process the data you give us when registering, during the course or on other occasions (e.g. events), or which we receive about you in this context, with the greatest care and in accordance with the rules of Swiss data protection. You agree that the data mentioned above may be used for personalized promotional activities by Code Excursion (e.g. references to further offers). You also agree that we may pass on the data to partners and sponsors of Code Excursion, who may use it for personalized advertising campaigns or similar. We also share your information with partner companies who provide services for us, such as our partners who provide courses. This is necessary, among other things, so that you can be activated for the courses.
Changes of Program- and Price
Program and price changes as well as changes in the general terms and conditions are reserved. The prices of the webinars or other content will be adjusted if the respective providers increase their prices significantly.
For all legal relations with Code Excursion Swiss law is applicable. The place of jurisdiction is the headquarters of Code Excursion in St.Gallen, Canton St.Gallen.
